Need help with File I/O Error

Thread needs solution

When trying to run a backup to an external hard drive (backing up to another computer on the network), I am consistently getting a File I/O Error message - almost as soon as the backup begins.

I have changed the default HDD write speed options to 75%, but it didn't help.

Using TI Home 10 on Windows XP. Here are the error details:

I ran check disk on the hard drive that I'm trying to backup to and saw no error messages. Any help?

Disappointing not to get a response... I was finally able to figure this out on my own. Maybe someone else will have this issue and need an answer some time down the road.

I had to change the permissions for the folders where I was saving the backups. I right clicked on the folders and selected 'properties'. Changed the permissions on the "sharing" and "security" tabs to full access and the backup ran normally. Don't know if it will work for everyone, but it worked for me!
