Need info on new upgrade to 2015
I just upgraded my Acronis to your new 2015 version from the 2014 version.
Question: Do I need to recreate my boot disk, or will my 2014 boot disk still work? Do I need to start from scratch all over again as a 2015 files?
Question: I downloaded and saved my install file for permanent retention. I noticed that it triggered another file download, and then installed. I want to burn a DVD for hard copy retention. Do I have "The" application file?
Can someone tell me how this software is "Supposed" to work. I bought it because it said "Incremental" file backups. Each time I've tried, it gets to the end [of a two hour save] and then tells me there is not enough room on my backup disk. 2 TB drive half full. From what I've read, after each incremental save/backup, I should be able to "Merge Down" into one file. Can someone explain "The Real Scoop?"

I purchased the download version which dropped a 1.7 file called "...........Application." So I think I've got it and can save it to use in case I have to reload everything again some day.
When I launch this application it begins the install process, which downloads again [the part I was referring to] and completes in the install. I look into my control panel, installed programs and there is it, all 378 Mb of it.
It appears that if I wish to clone my boot drive C: [I store my OS and Programs on C: with all my dBase files on D:], I now have the option of making the cloned drive "WITH" the boot data, drivers, etc. Is this correct? does this take the place of a recovery disk, or should I make one as well?

Richard,
i'm afraid your description has confused me. Are you referring to the Universal Restore Media installer, the TI 2015 installer, or the free plugins?
What options are you seeing under the acronis folder off the Windows start menu?

Again: I paid my $79 for the upgrade price of Acronis 2015, I see a download Icon, I click it, it downloads a file, I save it to a folder. I "Think" it's the entire program. I open the folder to launch the file, which opens the software, it then accesses the internet and begins to a much larger file and installs the application.
I would sure like to save the entire program, but it looks like all I was able to save was an "installer" application, that brings down the entire program. Is this correct? How do I get a complete copy of what I bought? Or, do I need a complete copy as long as I have the "Installer" package. Will the installer file expire should I ever have a catastropic failure?

Hello everyone,
thank you for your postings.
Richard, please refer to your account on www.acronis.com. There you can find at any time the actual full version of the application installer to download.
Please see the screenshot attached.
If you just follow the download link provided on web site after upgrade or purchasing, you will get a little web-installer file (several MBs), wich will download and install the most actual version at any time. With web intaller you do not need to think, if the version you are going to install is the latest one, but you need the internet connection.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
