Nesting backups - is this ok?

Thread needs solution

On a laptop I have ATI 2014 taking partition backups to a networked drive. But I don't really trust that networked drive so on another PC I'm taking a file backup of that networked drive's Acronis .tib file - backing it up to a local drive. (Neither device has access to the others' drives. They both have access to the networked drive, but purposely have no other shared access.)

If the networked drive dies and has to be rebuilt, is there any reason Acronis would have problems restoring a .tib file?

1. Don't just make partition backups. Often we see people here seeking help when their partition restores do not result in a bootable system, because boot files are located on a hidden partition. Create a full disk mode backup, at least sometimes.

2. Boot from the ATI bootable Rescue Media, and restore a couple of files from one of your backups. That will give you more confidence that you can restore if necessary than any of our posts would.
