New to Acronis...please help

Thread needs solution

I would like to take a snapshot of my hard drive now that I've done a fresh install of all my programs. Do I need to backup drive c: or do I create a backup of my current system state. I'm a little confused on what backup I need. Any help would be apreciate. Thanks, Bob

Ok I think I got this right, I did a system backup. Hopefully when I do a fresh install and I recover from that folder, drive C: will be exactly like it was when I did the system backup.

Bob,
A backup of C only is ok if you only want to restore your system partition. But if you need to move to a new drive due to problems or simply need a larger drive, then you really need to have a "disk" option backup.

Having a backup of the entire disk (all partitions) enables you to restore only a single partition or to move to a new drive. Be safe, always keep a reasonably current "disk" option backup.
