No compression level setting in 2015

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded to 2015 from 2011 and I'm using build 6525

Under Options -> Advanced -> Performance
There is no compression level setting, only priority. I see that is was present in earlier builds. Do I need to use an earlier build for now? If so, how?

Or am I doing something wrong?

If someone would verify that the latest build 6525, does have compression, then I would assume I should reinstall to fix this. The other possibility is this is a bug that needs to be fixed.

Does anyone use compression to make the images smaller?

Gerry,

Ti 2015 does provide compression. It is user configurable however it must be set during task creation. You cannot set it up differently after a task is created for that you must create a new task. The link below discusses the compression levels available.

Thanks yo gave me the clues I needed to fix this problem. So for anyone in the future looking for a solution, here it is:

At the bottom of the screen where all my existing backups were I saw -

+ add backup

There were 2 options
create new backup and add existing backup

choose create new backup, now compression will be available as an option under performance

Correct, you must create a new backup task for the compression option to appear. You cannot change/alter compression for an existing backup task.
