Nonstop Backup does not support the file system
True Image Home 2012 purports to be able to do Nonstop Backup to an NAS, whether or not mapped to a drive letter, provided that the filing system is NTFS. My NAS (Buffalo LinkStation Live) is mapped to drive L:, for which Properties shows NTFS, but Nonstop Backup says "Cannot back up to this partition because Nonstop Backup does not support the file system on it". This seems like a fault, not something for which one should have to pay for support, so I sent a message similar to this as a complaint on 27 Feb, but have had no response. I am on Windows XP, Media Center Edition, Version 2022, SP3 (because there are no drivers for my sound card for any later Windows version).

I have a mapped network drive setup on a VPN connection. I got the same error setting up the nonstop backup saying the file system was not supported. Was going to just enter the UNC path as you suggested, but TIH 2012 will not allow me to enter a path, I can only browse locations. Any ideas? Does the workstation edition handle this any better?

Hello Brandon, I think i have a solution for you, as I had exactly the same issue as you described.
Try this:
When you select the menu option to create a non-stop backup, the dialog appears. Don't select a drive as a destination from the drop down list, but rather, select "Browse ...". In the browse window, you see the filename of the backup, right?
Okay, try to OVERTYPE the file name, and start the filename with \\\\
Once you've typed your IP-Number, window appearing and your nas will be accessible.
F.E.: \\192.168.0.200\Backups\My Backups
It worked for me, as i am now doing a non stop backup to my NAS :-)
It is a workaround, as this functionality indeed works dodgy. I will raise a flag also to the support team of Acronis.
success!
