Nonstop backup paused?
Is there a way to find out if NSB is in a paused state? I don't ever recall seeing the system tray icon indicate this. Also, any way to find out that, if it is paused, what its current retry count is?

I found this to be true on my machine running Vista, but it is related to the sync backup, which I am not using. There is also an icon for TIH showing NSB is running.
However, I just formatted a CD-RW on my W7 machine, and NSB paused or stopped, with no system tray icon. The formatting operation took a while, but according to Windows resource monitor, barely loaded the system. If it is paused, there is no indication, and it has not automatically restarted after more than a hour has passed. Is there a way to determine NSB's status, including its current retry count?

I'm not sure, I don't use NSB normally, so will have to run some checks.

Hello Tom and Colin,
I neither have seen the NSB going into the "pause" state. Although such a functionality is documented in Acronis True Image 2013, as such that:
- - NSB would go into pause state when the machine is overloaded with CPU or IO of other processes.
- - NSB would go into pause state when the network connection would be unavailable, and would continue from the pause state when it becomes back available.
I've never seen the NSB going into pause in case of scenario 1.
In scenario 2, the NSB definitely does not go into pause state. When a network connection is not available, it just continues scanning the drive, nothing is backedup. And even worse, it reports that the backup was done succesfully when finished.

I want to let you know that the Acronis support team is working on this issue, understanding my latest information. I will share you the progress on this.
best regards,
Sven

I haven't seen anything more on this issue for quite some time. I still have the same issue. Can anyone supply me with an update?
