Thread needs solution

I sometimes get this message on my laptop when I try to shut down to take it with me. It appears that Acronis is responsible for generating this message and may be doing some kind of verification. I have to wait for up to 45 minutes for the laptop to shut down. I have the backup set to run at 2 AM but still get this message sometimes during the day when shutting off the computer. It has made me late for meetings several times. I am afraid to force a shutdown since I worry about file corruption. Is there a way to stop it? I am running Windows 7 64 bit Professional and Acronis True Image Home 2011

Are yo running nonstop backup?

If so, you should be able to shout down without error.

IF not, you can disable that service.

If you have scheduled backups that include verification after every backup, you might want to unchek that action. Once you know ati successfully makes backups on your machine, you don't risk much by not doing a verifiaction every time you backup.
