OS-Selector does not work after installing TrueImage 13 build-7046

Thread needs solution

Hello,

after installing the newest version of TrueImage 13, OS-Selector (last version) doesn't work.
Then I would restore the last image from windows gui, but after the reboot the restoring does not work.
Only restoring by booting with recovery cd, I could restore the last image.

Notice:
After TrueImage installation the startup recovery manager was activated.
But it was no help to deactivate the startup recoverymanager.

What can I do?

Can you provide some more detailed information on how the computer is configured?

Is OSS installed to an OS partition (the one you're restoring, for example) or a non-OS partition?

Are you using build 2,288 of OSS?

I'm assuming that TI 6,053 was installed and working okay with OSS.

When you tried doing the restore using 7,046 and it didn't work on the reboot, what happened? Was there an error? Did the computer not reboot?

Did you try reactivating OSS after you deactivated the ASRM?

OSS is installed to the OS partition.

I am using the OSS version build-2241. I don't know the version 2288. Where can I download this version?

TrueImage 13.0 build-6053 with the BartPE & Savemedia Add-Ons are installed and working okay.

The computer reboot and a empty light blue screen is displayed for a while. Then the old system starts.

After reboot I deactivated the ASRM and then after another reboot I reactivating OSS, but the OSS does not work, OSS is deactivated.

Build 2,288 is the current US English version. If you have a different language version, the latest available build may be different. The previous US English build was 2,239 (which is probably your 2,241 build) and is the last "real" update (I don't even know if 2,288 had any bug fixes in it).

Are you reactivating OSS when in Windows or by booting to the DD/OSS CD? If you haven't done it using the CD, try it that way.

I have reactivated OSS in Windows and now by booting with DD/OSS CD too.
In both cases the OSS does not reactivated and also does not work.

Hello,

MudCrab, thank you very much for your help.

Wolfram, I'll surely help you to resolve the issue, but first I need some additional information from your side.

1. Please de-activate Acronis Startup Recovery Manager:

Go to Tools & Utilities:

Click on Acronis Startup Recovery Manager:

Select Deactivate:

2. After that please try to reactivate OS Selector once again and check if the problem exists.

If the issue still persists, please gather AcronisInfo tool output and submit a support request with the collected information.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you.

Hello all,

I would like to update the thread.

Our QA team was able to reproduce the issue. The appropriate task is created, and our developers will take care of the request.

Wolfram,

We were able to activate Acronis OS Selector using Acronis Disk Director/OS Selector Bootable Media. We disactivated Acronis Stratup Recovery Manager, booted the system from Acronis Disk Director/OS Selector Bootable Media and selected the Activate Acronis OS Selector option.

Please let us know the results. Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.

Thank you.

I cannot find an Activate Acronis OS Selector option on the Bootable Media. Using TI Home 2010 and DD 11. What am I doing wrong?

DD 11 currently does not have the option to include the OSS programs on the DD CD.
