Performance hit with SnapAPI?
Thread needs solution
I've read a description of SnapAPI (snapman.sys driver) from Acronis that "The SnapAPI module is in charge of all I/O operations on the hard disk of Acronis software working in Windows." I'm curious as to any HDD or other I/O performance hit a system might see with this driver in place. Does anyone know how it affects performance when operating Windows normally? (that is, not doing any Acronis operations like backup or restore) Is this driver utilized during normal Windows usage or does it become used only when doing Acronis operations?
