Please Improve the User Interface
The User Interface for True Image 2010 is the worst I have ever experienced. It is illogical, and counter intuitive. I have lost the log section, if it is buried somewhere I have no idea where nor do I have the time to dig through the cutesy UI to find it.
I have no idea what UI metaphor is being used, it is not a Web/Browser based metaphor, it is not really a MS Windows Metaphor - it is reminiscent of the 'big'
button apps that flooded the market in the late 90's.
A user interface should be obvious (we are all trained to use drop-down lists, check boxes etc..) have no idea what the widget is on the main screen. It is this weird list that I suppose is someone's idea of a productive user interface, for which you need significant screen real estate to see.
When I do a back up. I need to know one this - did it pass/fail and a dashboard/heatmap is an excellent way of showing this.
The user interface is hokey and really amateurish - just fire the user interface designer - or ask then to explain how the current user interface is 'fit for purpose'.

I am indeed. TI 2010 was passable. At a minimum you could see the logs with a calendar view showing green for pass, and red for fail. Now I see a list of something where some of the graphics is obscured.
The user interface is reminiscent of the Visual Basic programming paradigm, one where everything is a button, or a hot link, very hokey.
I will say that when I have to fight with a user interface to try and bend around it, rather than it being fit for purpose, is the time when I start looking for alternative products.
In this day and age where UI's are almost generated there is simply no excuse for poor UI design, it is a well understood metaphor.

To build a "classic" gui is in the wishlist since weeks. But, Acronis, who cares?

I agree with all the comments above. The User Interface of the program (v.2011) is dreadful and the website equally as bad. I can't recall a website that is so difficult to use.
The My Backups section of the program (partially) shows the supposed backups that I have made but only the last backup that I have made is correct. The other two (only partially visible) shown do not exist as I removed the files from my external drive to make room for the last backup I have made. To make matters worse I am unable to see the full details of each backup as the information is truncated.
I have visited a forum on the website to find a possible solution to the problem and got nowhere. One of the difficulties is that so many hundreds of customers have posted problems the drop down list goes on forever! It does not help that a lot of the postings are, believe it or not, in Japanese. I would have thought Acronis would have separate areas for each language they cater for.
As a last resort I have looked to see if I can pay for assistance but again I have got nowhere. The dropdown down list requesting which version one wants assistance for is not shown (2011). Anyway, why should I pay for assistance in finding a solution to problems that are the fault of Acronis?
