Possible Bug in Recovery Manager (7119)
I recently updated to ATIH 2012 (7119). I backup regularly to a portable drive connected through an E-SATA port. After updating ATIH I noticed that the Recovery Manager (F11) was not activated, so I activated it. The Portable HD was ON and connected at the time. I finished my backup, unplugged the HD and rebooted.
The computer hung with a flashing cursor where the recovery manager should have been. Tried rebooting several times.
Plugged the Portable HD back in and rebooted again, preparing to restore one of my backups. It booted right away. Also noticed that when I tried to remove the HD through the Add/Remove dialogue that the device was always "In Use" and could not be removed.
I repeated trying to boot without the HD connected and it failed every time. Finally I disabled startup manager, rebooted without the HD connected and then re-enabled startup manager and rebooted.
Everything works fine now, but it appears (at least on my system) that if the Startup Manager is enabled while a portable HD is connected, that Acronis somehow looks for this drive on boot-up and hangs if it is not found.
