Pre/Post commands

Thread needs solution

Have been testing TI2013 and it appears that the Pre Command that I used in 2012 is no longer triggering the "Abort the operation if the user command fails". I have a program that sets an errorlevel of 1 that all prior versions of TI accepted as an"abort" situation. 2013 does not.

Anyone else run into this?

Robert,

Could you show us the pre command you use and is this on a XP, W7 or W8 RTM system?

I'm running Win XP SP3 and the program is a VB 6 program I wrote that exits with a return code of greater than 0 if it detects certain criteria. I have been using it since at least TI2009 without ant problems. I attached the log from the backup that uses it.

Hello?? Is there a fix or workaround for this? I'm having the same problem here. All you have to do to reproduce it is create a BAT file and just put this in it:

EXIT 99

No special program needed. It's broke!

Anyone from Acronis listening?

Bill, have you reported this problem to Acronis?
I just tested with both a .bat file and a .cmd file and also get results as indicated in the post #2.
I will open a support case, but suggest you do as well.

James

Has this ever been fixed? I received an acknowledgement from Acronis Tech Support a long time ago that this is indeed a bug but they offered nothing as to when it would be fixed. I don't think there has been a new build since the original.
