Problem with Acronis 2013 restoring images or cloning newer with SSD's
I have been a loyal Acronis user for many years. I recently upgraded from an Intel 180GB SSD to a new Samsung EVO 840 250GB SSD. I made a backup image of it (full, new), and then went to restore that image onto an older OCZ Agility 240GB SSD. Oh, I am using windows 7 Pro 64bit. The backup image is stored onto a seagate 1TB USB3 drive. When I go to restore the image it immediately will come up after a few seconds with an error. Tried both restoring the disk signature and not restoring the disk signature with the same resulting error. If I try to restore basically the same image made from the Intel SSD to the OCZ Agility SSD, no problems. If I try to do a straight cloning of the samsung Evo SSD to the OCZ agility SSD, I get an error as well. Oh, thinking it may have been the samsung evo drive, I tried a new OCZ VERTEX 460a 240GB SSD and it acts the same was as the samsung. I should also state that I am using MBR and not GPT. For fun I tried restoring to a notebook 7200prm, 250GB drive and also got the same error. While in Windows I can look at the image that I created and don't get any errors and can copy files, so the image seems to be ok, though I have not validated it. When I am attempting to clone or restore an image I am booting off the recovery thumbdrive I made. Any suggestions? I am pretty sure there is something with the new ssd's that acronis is having trouble with...
Thanks!
