Problems with Disk-Recovery

Thread needs solution

Hello,

excuse my not so good english, I am German-
I used Acronis True Image Home Plus 2010 to transfer 15 gb of important data from a trojan infected pc to a clean system. I choose the 4.7GB file size, burned them on DVD and copied the three .tib on three dvds to a new fomatted and new installed windows XP. I installed on it True Image Test version (for 30 days).
Starting file-Backup Revovery, he is always telling me that this isn't the last file of the splitted backup. Regardless which of the three .tib files i select.

Any ideas?

Thx in advance,
Matthias

Darn. ATI is not very good with multiple DVDs.

If you can, copy the content (all the TIB files) of the DVD to a USB disk for revovery. ATI might ask you to browse for Volume 1,... of the archive. Volume is the first TIB file of the chain.

Thx for your answer.

Ups. Forgotten to mention, I have copied the .tib files of the DVD to the HD of the destination pc.

It's 15 GB, so i don't have such huge USB-Stick.

Matthias ,
You need to copy to something other than the destination pc. The files will be destroyed as part of the restore. You need the files on an external drive or flash drive, etc.

Matthias,

It doesn't need to be a USB flash drive. A spinning USB disk will work just fine.
