Profile settings not being saved properly

Thread needs solution

I'm using build 6525 (issue occurs with previous build(s) as well).

I go to Edit Settings and then Options, I make a change to a setting, I click on OK then on Save.

When I return, I find that my changes have not been saved at all. Capture 1 shows how I save it, capture 2 shows what I see when I return.

Why aren't these and other settings like automatic clean-up saved properly?

When I save certain settings, can I assume any operation will run with my saved settings or with the settings as I find them when I return?

I have set TI 2015 to not schedule any further backups and set to full backup and not incremental. I save the changes but it then the program states the next backup will be in one week. I set it to not do backups so why is it changing to weekly??? I also set the exclusions to none but it too repopulates on its own to exclude a number of programs including temp, other backups etc.

This is not the way I want the program to work. Is this an issue or is there something I am not doing correctly. I have changed the settings to the way I want, checked the default box and saved multiple times yet it still changes my requested settings.

Please advise

Generally speaking, my experience has been that a 2015 setting change is applicable only to the single task being saved. Most settings will revert to their preset default setting.
If a screen shows the option "Save as Default", if option enabled, then "maybe" some (but not every one) of those settings will reappear in a future display when another new task is created. I have found that the "save as default" will replicate backup schemes and email settings. There may be other settings which I have not tried.

If you have a task set to your likings, use the operation/clone settings option and then change the clone to a differert name and change any other settings which need changing before saving as "backup later". This procedure is more lengthy than desired but less lengthy than creating a complete new task.

Just to clarify my original post, this applies to one profile, one task. It makes no sense, why the settings would not be exactly how I left them/saved them last time.

Like Burt, I've seen exclusions reappear in the list as well, even though the exclusions checkbox was unchecked.

This is indeed unwanted behavior and undermines ones trust in the program.

Since applying the patch to the program it seems to be functioning properly. I have yet to see if the "default" has stayed in place with my choices.
