Questions on updating to new version

Currently have v 2012 (on a Win 7 home prem)
Bought (boxed) v 2014.

1. Should I remove 2012 first - as I want to install that on a Windows 8 PC?

2. Lets say some time in the future my Win 7 PC needs to be reimaged - but from a Acronis T.I. version 2012 file? Whats the process?

3. Their S/N's are way too long. When I insert the CD is there a location of a text version of the S/N that I could copy?

4. Is there a way to upgrade to the Premium version of TI? My concern is- what if in the future I need to replace the mother board?

I am guessing I will have a problem if still using the non premium TI 2014 version.
