Thread needs solution

Hi All,

Re: Build 6055

FRUSTRATING!!

1. Where are the Backup Schemes I create stored?

2. Every time I create a Backup Scheme and give it a Name, TI creates it as My Partitions. How do I create a Backup Scheme with the name I want?

3. Every time I try to Name a new Backup Scheme with the same Name as an old and deleted Scheme, TI tells me that a Scheme with that name already exists. How do I delete a Scheme so it is reallly DEAD? How do I resuse the same Name from a deleted scheme?

4. How do I BROWSE ASZ. Every time I click on ASZ (left or right), it opens. I want to see and manage the actual TIB files.

5. Where did the LOG file go?

6. Where is my Backup. I created a Rescue Stick (USB 3.0 Flash) and tried it out. Boots faster than previous, but does not show ASZ anyplace. So what good is it? Where is ASZ?

7. Where is Disk Director? Previous Rescue Disks showed both TI & DD and let me choose. So now how do I backup DD?

8. Sorry I upgraded to 2015. 2014 was better.

Click on the small pencil icon on the main part of the form at the top, this will allow you to give a task a name of your choosing.

The log files themselves are still in the same place, it is just for some reason Acronis decided to remove easy access to them. Probably because in their attempt to make it 'just run' they decided end users rarely use the log function so the only time you get to see it is when making a True Image system report which will contain the logs.

For basic logs, you can setup the email function so that when a task completes it sends you an email which will contain a basic log of what has happened.

The only way to include DD and TI on the same recovery media is to use the Universal Media option which will be in the Acronis folder off the Start\programs bar. This only works for Linux based media.

Hi Colin,

Thank you. Sorry to see TI is going the way of Windows: Dummies & Kiddees. If I can't manage it directly, can I do it in the Registry? What is the Key?
