Rcovery failing from validate backups.
I am doing file backups from a NTFS drive to a FAT32 drive. According to the user manual this should work. The files are .jpg and .mp4. The backups run fine and they validate. However, when I try to recover, I get errors saying that Acronis cannot recover files. The files listed in the message have extensions of .jpg~ and .mp4~. I have done several full backups on different directories and every time I get the same problem. I am runnig windows 8.1. Any suggestions on what I can do to solve the problem?

I fixed the problem. This was an external drive, a Transcend Store-Jet. I also had other recovery problems with this drive that I did not mention in my original post. On a recovery I was getting messages like "can't find inc_b1_s1_v3.tib". Since the Store-jet was formatted as FAT32, I wondered if this was a problem even though Acronis says the software can handle FAT32. As we know with FAT32 you cannot have files bigger than 4GB, so Acronis will save your backup in multiple files, 4GB each. I just reformatted the drive to NTFS and everything works fine.
