re: True Image Echo
I'm running True Image Echo with Universal Restore (build 8,203). It has the option to turn a TIB file into VHD but in our version it can't do so for a 64bit OS. Traditionally VHD file types were used with Virtual Server and Virtual PC which were limited to 32bit guests, but we want to try our Windows Server 2008 64bit under Hyper-V Standalone (also 64 bit) and wanted to use the features of Acronis to make the transition smoother (Worked fine for other O/S's - kudos to the developers!)
Is there a different build/version that would let us do this? We are under the maintenance program so we qualify for the latest and greatest version, I just want to know if upgrading would let us do this.

Dmitry,
I got the free upgrade to Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 but I was greatly disappointed. It won't do a simple conversion like the True-Echo, instead forcing me to create a new virtual machine (and not allowing me to use an exisiting one without further upgrading to Advanced Virtual Edition).
The new machine creator limited my drives to IDE so I couldn't change to SCSI emulation to fit my data.
Finally, the options limited me to Virtual PC 2007, VMWare and a couple of others. The only mention of Hyper-V was for the Advanced Virtual Edition where I'm expected to install a Hyper-V agent to restore through an existing VM.
We had no problems using True-Echo to convert a TIB to VHD for use with Windows Server 2005 R2 in a 32 Bit environment and we were able to take take that VM's hardware counterpart offline.
Is there a more simple process like that for the new product and Hyper-V or did I miss something?
