Hi,
I have ATI 2014 and have backed up the entire disk onto a 2 TB external USB HD. I did the original backup from windows installation. I then wished to replace older HD with larger SSD. I created bootable CD, switched HDs and booted into Acronis. The ATI manager did not have any of my backups listed. When I pressed refresh images, a quick blip occurred and no backups were listed. When choosing browse for image, the external drive was not listed. I have eventually switched back to original HD. I booted again on Acronis CD and chose to create a backup. To my surprise, while backups were still not listed under recover, the interior and exterior HDs were listed to be backed up. I will attach syteminfo report. I hope someone can help me solve this.

Mike

The Linux based bootable CD may not recognize a USB attached drive if that drive is attached to a port that is case mounted. Try attaching the external drive to a port on the motherboard backplate of the machine if at all possible and you should have better results. If using a laptop try using a different USB port if one is available. If that fails then try attaching the USB drive to the machine after you have booted the machine with the bootable CD, be patient if you try this as it may take some time before the drive is recognized.
