Recovering the Key

Thread needs solution

I built a computer for my niece about 3 years ago, she now has alot of issues with it apparently i did not have the acronis true image 11 home set up right cause it did not wipe the drive and take the system back to the way I first set it up. I have looked for the box relentlessly I have the disk but I cannot locate the key to put the software back on the system once I manually wipe the drive. Is there a way to go into the software to recover the key before I wipe the drive and reinstall everything? her computer is set up with windows XP professional x64 edition. I am just trying to find away to recover the key if there is a way

If you registered TI 11 in your Acronis account, you should be able to find it there.

Acronis likes to play "now you see it, now you don't" with the serial number in the Help >> About box. Some versions/builds have it, some don't.

What build of TI 11 is installed?

I am not sure which version it is I did not think of registering it when I first got the program so there is no information on my acct I will be going over there tomorrow and I will find out which version it is. that should be under help then about correct?

correction my niece just called me and I had her check for me it is version 11.0 with build 8.053 is there a way with this build to access the product key? or if not is it possible to upgrade the build to one that would allow me to access this information?

I just checked to make sure and none of the three builds that were released show the serial number. Your best option may be to contact Acronis Support and see if they can help (they will probably want proof of purchase).

As I see from our database, you've obtained a German copy of Acronis True Image 11 Home with Computer Bild magazine. If so, then you should receive an e-mail from us with your serial number and installation file should be on DVD/CD with the magazine.

If you have the installation file, please let me know and I'll provide you with a serial number.
