Recovering from SecureZone

Thread needs solution

If my system will not boot and I have to recover from the Securezone, do I have to install the start-up recovery manager or use a recovery disk?

Hello JPK,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum. I will certainly help you with your question.

Yes, in order to recover from Acronis Secure Zone you will need to activate the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager or use the bootable CD.

We have additional resources that can help you with activation of Acronis startup recovery manager, please check the following article.

To create the bootable media you can refer to this KB article. You can also download it in ISO format from your Acronis web-account.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Note that if your hard disk goes bad, everything on it will be lsot, inlcuding any backups. It's a really good idea to store backups on a diff hard disk than the one being backed up. If that's what you're doing, great. But it's always writh mentioning. Better to hear it now than later.
