Hello Errut,

I will do everything possible in order to resolve the issue you experience.

First of all you can’t restore images using Acronis True Image Home 2009 created with Acronis True Image Home 2010, though there is backward compatibility. You can restore, explore and mount images of Acronis True Image Home 2009 using Acronis True Image Home 2010. Check the following KB article for more details.

Regarding the initial issue I would recommend you to download ISO image based on ISOLinux from your account under Registered Products and create Acronis bootable disc using third-party software. You can also download Safe Media and BartPE plug-ins from account. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.

ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Check the following article for more details.

Let me know if the issue persists and I will be glad to assist you.

Thank you

I have the same problem which renders my backup useless. I've already did a clean install of my computer using my Sony recovery disk. Finding that doing that eliminated the bogging down problem, I found that upon loading Acronis, one of the problems reappeared. That is, that my computer will not reboot by itself. Fortunately I have saved "My Documents" such that I was able to restore them.

Your solution is rather confusing to me. I have Acronis Perfect Image 11, I believe, and get the dreaded Linux Kernal message.

Why would Acronis prevent my computer from rebooting itself?
