Recovery of files

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I want to look for some files in my incremental Backup of "My documents". The task was running 14 months, created 286 files that are occupying 100GB of my hard drive. The last file is: "Eigene Dateien_inc_b1_s286_v1.tib".

I believe, that the files I am looking for were created and deleted within that 14 months of surveillance of this folder. Do I have to open the last file and then browse through 286 versions of backups or can I search through them at once? E.G., the search returns: file found in file 114 in a specific location.

Is it possible to search through all *.tib files in windows explorer at once?

Thanks for your help!

Achim

Achim, I do not know if it is possible to search through all of your .tib files in Windows Explorer at once, but from reading in the 2015 User Guide, it suggests that you should be able to select the particular backup version based on a specific date and time.

Recovering files and folders

You can recover files and folders both from file-level and disk-level backups.

To recover files and folders:

  1. Start Acronis True Image 2015.
  2. On the sidebar, click Backup.
  3. From the backup list, select the backup which contains the files or folders that you want to recover.
  4. On the right panel, click Recover files.
  5. Select backup version (data state on specific date and time).
  6. Select the files and folders that you want to recover, and then click Next.
