Recovery Manager starts without pressing F11
System: Acronis True Image 2012, Windows 7 Professional
History: Recovery Manager has worked in the past as desired using for many backups.
Problem: Used Try & Decide for a new program which required a large data conversion which took a long time. Decided the product met my needs, brought the Try & Decide screen up and selected accept by rebooting. After many hours (estimating 6) I observed the windows little circle still churning away saying "shutting down", but without any disk activity. So I shut the machine down holding the power button. Then I restarted and the following comes up WITHOUT pressing F11; "Starting Acronis Loader". Then an error message with code "0x970009(9A5ADCEECA4626D1" is displayed. Also says to hit any key to continue which only repeats the above process. In otherwords, I cannot get to where Windows is loaded.
Attempts to correct:
1) used an acronis recovery disk for the recovery manager tool. Pressing it comes back with "failed to activate startup recovery manager" twice.
2) used my Windows 7 installation disk to return to a saved recovery point. Did this, but the restart again returns to the "starting Acronis Loader" routine again.
Documentation would indicate the Master Boot Record involving the Acronis Recovery Manager has been corrupted so that Acronis Recovery Manager is loading without the F11 button pressed. But I have no idea on how to correct that. Any suggestions please.

Pat L, thank you for your excellent advice. Took a while to remember the DOS procedures from 20 years ago, but when I figured it out, it worked like a charm. Recovered prefectly. Again, thank you for your help. Beeb's
