Recovery to one partion of a SSD rather than whole disk

Thread needs solution

Hi

Running Acronis 2013 portable version on CDR.

I have two windows 8 partitions on a 128GB SSD, roughly 60GB each.

Both partitions are backed up via Acronis. Eg two separate TIB files of around 6.5GB (sector by sector)

Now I would like to restore one of those back ups to ONE of the two partitions I have on SSD. However, it seems as if Acronis will only restore over the whole disk rather than to a chosen partition? Actually, I don't know this for sure because I didn't press 'proceed' but there was no option to chose a partition.

Any help appreciated (sorry if this has been answered before- I cannot find any relevant posts after searching).

Thanks!

Boot from the TI Recovery Cd and when choosing what is to be restored, select only the single partiton--not the disk check.
On the same screen where your Proceed/cancel option appears, is the summary page and the summary page will identify what is it doing which will be to delete the one single 60GB specific partiton and then restore that single partition.

Look at my signarture link #3 and then look at item 3 inside that link. This illustrates the restore of C only but the example will be the same as what you are doing.
