i notice that the schedul2.exe is not running on my computer.
i have windows vista 32 familly edition.
can you tell me what i have to write under the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
to come back to the initial configuration?
sorry for my english...

Hello Francois,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum. I will definitely help you with this issue.

Most likely it occurs because the Acronis Scheduler Service is not started.

To get it resolved please press start->run->type: services.msc and make sure that the Acronis Scheduler2 Service is started and its startup status is automatic. To do this, simply right click on the service, select properties and change the startup type.

Should you need additional assistance, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hello Anton,

Many thanks for your answer.

In fact, the Acronis Scheduler2 Service is running on my computer, but my version is a french one and the name of the service is 'Service Scheduler2 Acronis'.
Acronis is working and as i make images manually (never scheduled) i have no problem to save the images.
I just don't understand the utility of schedhlp.exe
Somme people ask if it is possible to remove it from the start menu.
As i don't have it in my start menu, i search to know if it is important to put it again in this start menu.
An other question is taht I have also 'Acronis Nonstop Backup service' running (starting automatically). As I make my backups manually, do I need this service to be running or can i stop it and put it to sart mannually.

Thank you.

Hello Francois,

I appreciate your follow-up and are most welcome.

The schedhlp.exe is a process which notifies another process called schedul2.exe about logon and logoff events. The schedul2 process is required for executing scheduled tasks on certain events.

The schedhlp process is not present in the start menu, however, it can be present in the startup programs, you can check the msconfig utility under the startup tab.

The AcronisScheduler 2 service should be always started, it is required even for manual backups.

As for the Acronis Nonstop Backup service, since you are not using it you can stop it and put it to start manually.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.

Thank you.
