Replacing a 256 GB ssd to 500 GB ssd using ture image 2014

Thread needs solution

I am new to the site and have Sony Vaio Duo 11 with 256 GB Msata SSD and bought a Crucial 500 GB to replace, i been reading a lot of posts and i think i am more confuse than ever, i have the new 500 GB ssd in a Apricorn mSATA Wire Enclosure and Upgrade Kit (AMSW-USB3) to attache to the usb drive so here is the configation

internal 256 GB with all data

external 500 GB blank

external hard drive usb where i backedup all my internal 256 data using acronis.

If anyone can give me suggestion how to do this swap i would appreciate it,  i made a boot media usb for use as well, so do i just clone from the internal ssd to the external ssd then swap the ssd's out?  this seems too simple so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi AJ,

you just need to restore the full system backup to a new disk. Please follow this instruction: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATIH2014/#7943.html

If you backed up an entire disk, the better option is to recover the entire disk at once by clicking "Switch to disk mode".

Alternatively you can clone the disk to a new one as it is described here: https://kb.acronis.com/content/2931

Thank you,
