[RESOLVED] universal restore and dual boot sys
Hiya,
Very shortly i need to do a universal restore on a system that has dual boot installs of windows 7, (Yes both installs are win 7) will universal restore recognize both installs and change each of them or is there something else I must do?

Hiya,
ok some feedback and further info,
i found that although i did an upgrade from 2010 with the plus pack to 2013 the universal restore didnt stay so i had to use the original version 2010 to do the universal restore
although this forum is for 2013 I will still post here even tho i didn't end up using 2013 because i still think its still relevant
I found universal restore worked flawlessly on systems without dual boot of windows 7
I found that universal restore did in fact do a universal restore of both windows installs on both partitions of the dual boot system, something i wasn't sure would happen. Yay !!!!
The problem i found (by going into system info) that it didn't remove "amd pci express 3 gio filter driver" ( i restored to an Intel computer from an AMD based computer) which caused a resource error (error 12) where after booting and logging into windows i couldn't use either the default vga driver or the correct video driver for the board properly (it told me there were not enough resources to run the video card).
I uninstalled and ticked the box to delete the driver for the amd pci express........ under system in device manager, upon rebooting it re-installed all the drivers and all was good.
Overall i am really happy with the result so Kudos's to Acronis :D
anyway hopefully this may help others who have similar problems
