restoration doesn't start

Thread needs solution

I use true image 2009.
I had to restore a backup stored in a external HD: I followed all the procedure but now I'm in the "task and log" section:I pushed start but restoration doesn't start.
Can you help me?

Hello Andrea,

No worries, I will help you to resolve the issue.

The most possible cause is that Acronis Scheduler services are stopped so the product is not able to start the task.

1. Make sure that Acronis Scheduler2 Service (Administrative Tools -> Services) Startup type is set to Automatic in Properties. If it is not so, make it so.
2. If the above does not help, run the schedhlp.exe and schedul2.exe manually in Windows Task Manager (File -> New Task) or do the following:

3. Download Acronis Scheduler, which is a special utility to update the scheduler service ;
4. Extract the downloaded file and run install.bat. The utility will automatically update the service;
5. Reboot the machine;
6. Restore the backup again

If this does not help, please try to perform the operations using Acronis Bootable Media. To create it please follow: Tools -> Create bootable rescue media. Then boot your machine from it and you will be able to use Acronis True Image without booting any OS.
Acronis Bootable Rescue Media is a standalone version of Acronis True Image Home, burned onto a CD and based on a Linux operating system.
