Restore Fails - SSD

Thread needs solution

Hey guys,

I had a backup of my entire pc in an image. I have a Samsung 840 EVO 1TB SSD as my primary and a WD Black 750 GB as my secondary. I wanted to see how the restore process worked so I wiped my SSD and put in and ran the recovery disc for Acronis True Image. I ran the restore process 3 different times and each time within about 5 minutes the restore failed. Unfortunately this meant a clean install and for me to speed the next week getting all my data and games reinstalled and back onto my computer.

Does True Image not work with SSDs? I was pretty sure I read that the program would work with my SSD. Also if it does work with SSDs, what did I do wrong? I am upset because I feel I spent money on a product that does not work. Right now I have Macrium Reflect Pro 30 Day Trial but haven't used it yet.

Any help will be appreciated!

Looks like I will be going to another product. I spoke with tech support about my issue. We validated my backup which came back fine. I still could not recover the backup image. Wish I was still within my 30 days as I would get a refund.

I restored a few times to SSD :-) Actually quite a lot of times. It works perfectly on my computer.

Where is your backup stored?
