Restore is Incredibly Inefficient
All I'm trying to do is recover one file.
When I hit restore, Acronis takes over my CPU (pushing it to 99% with nothing else running) for over five minutes just to generate a tree of the files in the backup set. Then - when I select a single file (in this case, with a whopping 16 KB size), it does the same thing for at least another 5 minutes.
The Windows XP backup would do this in a matter of a second or two.
Something is radically wrong with the programming when it requires more processor work to recover a single two-page Word file than it does to render six hours of video. The amount of work it's doing is way more (like millions of times more) than what should be necessary.
