Restore issue
On restore disk using emergency restore disk doing a complete restore I get an read error from the restore disk. I then retried to restore selected files and folders. That worked. The next day I tried to continue with more files, this time I could not access the image as the disk was not ready. Anyone have problems with disk not ready problem?

The tib backup is on a seperate disk that was formated with windows 7. It has always been available and visible.

Dickie,
What Tuttle is asking is what type of external drive do you have and how is it connected - Internal, eSata,USB, Firewire, NAS etc.

The connected drive I have is a seagate barracuda 7200 1tb sata 3 formated with windows 7 ultimate and contains only one tib file on it.

Dickie,
HOW is it connected to your system? Is it connected via internal cable (SATA) or is it an external drive connected via eSATA or USB?
The issue your are describing seems related to the connection to the system being unreliable.
If connected via USB, try changing the USB cable and/or moving the connection to the computer to a different USB port.
Do not use a USB hub, connect directly to one of the systems' onboard USB ports (on a desktop, the ones on the back of the system are the most reliable). Also do not use any USB extension cables, and keep you cables as short as possible.
If connected via eSATA, try a different cable (and/or port if your system has more than one eSATA port).
If it is an internally connect SATA drive, try moving the data cable to a different SATA port and/or changing the data cable as well as trying a different power connector from the power supply.
