restore wiped out my other xp partition?

i'm building a dual boot machine. both OS are xp. one is a stripped down version for audio. i used the windows cd to create partitions and format them on same drive. first i installed the stripped down xp. worked fine. then i used acronis 10 to recover my old hard drive to the second partition. i choose "active partition" as the partition type. not sure about that one... anyway, after that i get no option to boot into the stripped down os. it isn't even listed in boot priority in the bios. all i can boot into now is what acronis recovered.

so my recovery seemed to go well. but my dual boot is now a mono boot. no dual option at startup.

anyone know what happened here? thx.
