Restored W8.1 image has Windows Update history wiped clean.
Curiously, this is (was... it may have been corrected) an issue with AOMEI software too.
If you are running Windows 8.1 and look at your update history list you should see a fully populated screen showing every update since you installed Windows. Make a disc image and then restore that image and the list is cleared. Note... the actual updates are still present, just the list that is wiped clean.

Hello Mooly, Uwe!
Mooly, when the backup in question was created?
Thank you.

The backup was created after installing ATI2015 (clean Installation). Afterwards I was testing if its possible to make a restore. The restore worked fine, but the entries in the Windows update list were gone...

My set up was the same as Uwe. Clean W8.1 x86 install and clean ATI 2015 (beta version).
Edit... you asked when... 25th September.
