Restoring archive in different computers , but have problem
Hi. I have ATIH Plus Pack. I have my PC's C: drive archive. I whant to restore that archive in my netbook. WHen restore complete and when booting windows, my netbook display problem (blue screen). In proccess of restore, in driver section i not choose driver path. I whant to know, when we choose driver path, what format need to be drivers (folder with driver files, rar, zip). If i choose driver path, my PC'c archive will restored and normal will boot in my netbook and what drivers need for normal boot. Thanks.

OK, but please, if you can, give me example. For example G is my usb flash drive. HOw me need to add drivers - FOlder, which include inf file with drivers files. G:\drivers (this is chipset driver)\ (here are my chpset driver files with inf and driver files) - this is true path. If no, please, give me example. And from where i can get that drivers to support for all computers. Thanks dear Pat L.

You are correct. A way to do this, if you have Windows installed on the *new* computer, is to copy the C:\Windows\System32\drivers onto you G:\Drivers folder.
Otherwise, you have to find the right drivers from the manufacturer web site, decompress them (they are typically in an EXE ot ZIP) and then put them in your G:\ folder. No need to organize them further in there.
When you run UR, just point at the folder (ATI will not show you the driver files, only the folder).

Yes, it will look for the right drivers. Sometimes, if multiple drivers can fit, it might fail. So the most accurate your list is, the higher chance of success.

Look, i have chipset driver G:\drivers\M\S\(here are amd, intel and etc)\(here are different folders with different drivers). THis is true path, yes?
And another question. WHen i restore archive, from bios which one choose:
1. IDE
2. AHCI
And what difference between them. Thanks.

I would put all the drivers directly under the G:\Drivers\ folder, not in subfolders, although I am not completely sure it makes a difference.
Normally, you wouldn't have to change the BIOS for the recovery CD. Whatever works. Don't forget to change it back to the original after the restore, if you make any change. You can try to restore an image without UR to see if the restoring process works. The computer won't boot, obviously. After a successful restore, you can then do a new restore with UR activated. If the restore fails then, you can be sure it is because of the drivers, not because of some other reason.

I have many drivers for chipset and controller. If i paste them on the same folder, names will be same, and will request replace. WHat me do?

Felo, you have to pick the right drivers unfortunately, don't have duplicates. Hopefully, if the names are the same, they are the same drivers!

I have drivers for all machines (AMD,Intel and etc.). There are different drivers, but they have a few files, which have same names. UR will automaticle detect need driver from folders and install?
Tomorow i will send you screenshot of my driver folders structure

Felo,
There is no silver bullet. You have to put the right drivers for ATI. ATI can fail if it cannot figure out for sure which file is the right driver, and there is no UI for you to help it make the choice. Hopefully the combinations are limited so you can try with different configurations.
If the target computer has the same Windows version installed as the one being restored, then the right drivers are in the Windows\System32\Drivers folder. You can copy these drivers onto the right medium to make them available at recovery time.

But if that computer fully formated, i can get that folder. :(
