Restoring Email.tib failure
Hi,
I have Acronis 2009 and Windows XP Home. I backed up my email using the "My Email" Wizard - it was a full backup. The tib file ended up being 108mb which suggests the information did get backed up.
Due to a series of events, I had to format my computer and start afresh and loaded Office 2010 - previously I had Office XP . Once I loaded all my software I tried to put my emails back on to no avail.
I have read previous posts for advice and checked for likely problems.
I have read;
http://kb.acronis.com/content/1739
and
http://kb.acronis.com/content/2780
I am unable to follow instructions in 1739 as I have XP Home and it does allow to do this.
In regards to instruction in 2780;
Cause There are three possible causes:
1. User account, under which you are trying to run the scheduled task, does not have enough rights to perform the operation;
Q. How do I do this with XP Home?
2. The scheduled task was created under user account different from the one under which you are trying to execute the task manually at the moment;
Q. I had to format the computer and I guess I now have a different account - what are my options from here?
3. The scheduling service is running not under Local System account.
I can confirm it is running under the Local System account. Attached is task_manager_acronis.png that show this status.
The frustrating part is that I can see the backup information is all there - Attached in files_that_i_want-restored.png. I need to get this information as it has receipts and personal information I want restored. I have to show proof of purchase to an online company and the receipt is in the tib file that I can't restore.
I have also ran AcronisInfo.exe - where do I send this file?
Please help, I'm in desperate need to get this fixed.
Regards,
Warren

Warren,
Not sure I can help but here goes.
1. Acronis does not respond to every thread. Most of your responses (or lack thereof) are from volunteers. The agreement that you signed to get on the forum advises that if you want official support, you must fill out a Support request. Since you are using 2009, this official support becomes paid support for you.
2. Have you looked at your email which resides on your ISP. Often times, there are duplicates there.
3. If you have a complete backup of your system (all partitions--not just files), you can use 2009 and restore your system back the way it was at time of backup. You could then restore your email backup files onto your computer so your emails would be updated to the date of your email backup. You would be using Office XP again temporarily. Maybe you could also export your emails. I don't use Outlook or Outlook Express so I cannot help you for that.
4. Should you decide to do option 3, before you do that, stop now and make a full disk backup (all partitions) not just a files backup. Then, after you perform #3 and get what you want, you could then restore the current backup so you would be current with the latest backup.
5. What type error message are you getting and maybe some of the other volunteers can help. This may not be an Acronis issue.
