Run backup as different Windows user - does it work for you?

Thread needs solution

I want to run ATIH 2012 when I am logged in as a non-admin user on Windows 7 64, but I don't want to have to enter a password each time.

I go into Disk Backup Options, go down to "Windows account," expand that, check Run backup as different Windows user, then enter the name and password.

However, each time, I get the error message "The specified account name or password is incorrect."

Since I am pretty sure I know my admin user name and password, there might be a bug there. Can anyone else try this feature and check me. I very well could be entering something incorrectly.

How was ati installed, for all users?

@Scott

Even if you install for all users ATIH still pops up a UAC prompt when it is initiated - at least it does for me. (W7-64Bit)

But it shouldn't tell you the name/pword is incorrect if your using the ones for which the porg was installed.

Scott,

I am pretty sure it was installed for all users. That is my practice since it is a home computer ATI is available when I log in as Standard User, which is how I work day to day.

RayG,

The option I am asking about would let me enter the UAC information once and then save it.

No can do.

I'm not sure that you can with any program the directly involves the kernel. Anyway, with ATI you cannot.

This does not work for myself either. If I try any other user it fails to authenicate. This includes the local Admin users. Whats even more frustrating is that turning this option off permits a back up but then if you schedule the backup each time the schedule starts it appears that TIH wants to fill in the account details that you logged in with and gets it wrong there as well. Mine was installed for all users. I can;t manage to stop this behaviour.
