Run-List damaged error for all my USB drives ... can't run backup

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am having an issue with my True Image Home 2010 not being able to run any type of backup on my Windows 7 x64 Pro machine.

It started with a problem related to reading on the drives to be backed up. The problem was a TEXT_LINEX_ERROR_COMMON_DIRECT_RW_FAILED.

After some investigation in this forum (yes, stepping past the issues with the latest TIH version as well) I decided to uninstall and re-install the latest version of TIH (6053). After that I tried to run the backup and got the Run-List damaged error (German: Aktion mit Partition '9-0' wurde abgebrochen.
Details: Run-Liste ist beschädigt. (0x7001C) Tag = 0x89D94B01B483E24D).

After installing the latest (503) version of the SnapAPI the problem still persists.

I tried with several USB hard drives and all result in the same error .... all drives have been checked with CHKDSK DISK: /r and did report no errors.

I have recognized in one of the knowledge base articles that the Snap handling has changed from upper to lower filter but not sure which is the latest statement as this is quite old. In the registry I could find a mix of upper and lower filters:

{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} --> Upper filters:
tdrpman258
PartMgr
snapman
tdrpman258

{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} --> Lower filters:
tdrpman258
fvevol
rdyboost
snapman

Unfortunately I did not find anything related to this issue in the search function which I haven't tried yet. Maybe someone here knows the solution to this?

Your support would be much appreciated.

Edit: http://kb.acronis.com/content/6493?nocache=1 did not provide any additional details

Thanks and to all a Merry Christmas,
Stefan

Hi,

is there noone able to help? I'd really appreciate any hints you could provide on resolving this!

Thanks,
Stefan

Hello Stefan,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
Most probably, the issue was caused by file system errors that the check disk utility has failed to improve.
Please download Acronis Report utility available here and run it, create a report and attach the file to your next post. Please compress the Acronis Report output file into an archive (e.g. with WinZip) and attach to your message by browsing for the archive.
This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.

Hallo,
this is my problem: Aktion mit Partition '1-0' wurde abgebrochen. Details: Run-Liste ist beschädigt. (0x7001C) Tag = 0x89D94B01B483E24D.
I downloaded "AcronisReport.exe" and executed it, but it says: "E000101F4: not enough privileges" What does that mean? Where/how can I get such privileges?
Thanks for any helpful hint!
Martin

 Hello Martin,

Make right-click on the AcronisReport.exe file and select the Run as administrator option.

Thank you.

Dear Oleg Lee,
that was helpful! Thanks. But now: Where to submit this report.txt? (I use Acronis for years. This is the first trouble I encounter.)
Martin

 Hello Martin,

Thank you for your response.

Please attach the .txt file to your next post.

Under the box with your comments you can see the File attachments link, choose the necessary file and hit the Attach button. Save your response, and the file will be available for a further investigation.

Thank you.

 Hello Martin,

Your C: disk contains file system errors.
- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> type in the box cmd, make right-click on the cmd.exe item that appears, and select the Run as administrator option). See the screen shot.
- Enter the command: "chkdsk C: /r"

Probably, you will be able to get rid of the errors.

Thank you.
