SATA Controller Card That Works with ATIH 2012?

Thread needs solution

All my z68 motherboard SATA ports are full and I need to add a cheap SATA controller card for my DVD drive and my backup drive.

I would like to get a controller that works with ATIH 2012:
Asmedia ASM1061?
Silcon Image Sil3132?
HighPoint Rocket 620?
Promise?

Can anyone recommend a PCIE SATA controller card or an SATA chipset that they know works with ATIH 2012?

Thanks

I have a Silicon Sil 3124 and 3512--both are full pci working with XP Pro and both have worked without issue with XP and TruImage.

Will these work with both the recovery media and recovery from windows that requires reboot?

Thanks

Yes,, neither Windows nor the rescue CD had any difficulty seeing the drives attached tot these cards.

The 2124 has eSata attached and the 3512 has both internal and eSata attached. Don't forget, it is the Recovery CD that offers the best chance for success when you need to restore your system or to a new disk. While the recovery or clone feature is offered from within Windows, you will have far less issues if you do either of these when booted from the Bootable media Rescue CD.

My controllers are the full size PCI-- not the smaller PCI-express. Be sure of what size device card you can use before you buy.

In case anyone is interested, I found a SATA controller that works with ATIH 2012:

Asmedia ASM1061 chipset, $20.

AHCI Mode.
DVD drive to port 1 and backup drive to port 2, works great. Restore without recovery media through Windows with reboot works and restore with recovery CD works too. It's very fast, not fast enough for a good Sandforce SATA III SSD but plenty fast for mechanical drives.

IDE mode does not work.
