Schedule a clone of a backup drive to move off-site (backup of a backup)

Thread needs solution

I would like to create the ability to take my backups off site and store in my safe deposit box. On my desktop I have a second internal physical drive where I backup my desktop computer and then also several laptops via my home network. This second drive basically contains multiple TI backup images from multiple computers.

I would like to be able to backup or clone this back disk to an external hard drive. When I first attempted to schedule this as a backup the backup time was something like 13 hours. Making backups of backups is obviously a lot of data and processing. I then wondered if it would be a faster process simply to clone this second hard drive to my external hard drive, but it doesn't look like you can schedule it.

If I just had my desktop I realize that I would just create another backup job and backup to the external hard drive instead of the internal hard drive; however in this case I have multiple computers and would have to plug the external drive into each computer and run a separate backup for off-site storage.

Is there a way to accomplish my backup of my backup content?

I would simply use Windows to copy the backup files over to the disk, or a DOS tool like robocopy. You can also use synchronization tools. I would stay away from putting the TIB files into another TIB files.

Easiest would be to use sync software. I am using Syncback SE which is paid-for software, but they have a free version that might do what you need (simple mirror/sync). It can be scheduled. The SE version adds retention rules (not really useful here), and more destination options.
