Scheduling *first* backup to occur in the future

Thread needs solution

I have scheduled a new backup in ATIH 2012 to run at 2am daily. If it's 7pm when I create the backup, how can I get it run at 2am the next day? If I hit the Back up now button, the backup immediately starts to run. Can I just hit the Save button in the Configure disk backup process window and have it run for the first time at 2am the next day?

You should b offered a choice to Back Up Now or merely Save, which will run according to the schedule.

when the backup is being created, under the Backup now option is also a window which enables you to choose backup later or other time choices. Choosing the backup later option enables the backup to start later at whatever scheduled date or time you have configured.

Once the backup task has been created, the only choice when you click backup now is an immediate backup.

If you only choice is the save command, this would indicate that are in edit mode and have made changes to the task configuration. Usiing the edit opiton and making changes can lead to unexpected results. My personal recommendation is do not make any changes to the task. If changes needed, stop using the task and create a new task pointing to a new empty sub-folder.
