Secure Zone

Hi Guys,
Im about to set up a new backup my a new USB3 drive. My query relates to the Secure Zone: Lets say im backing up my music collection to the said USB drive with ASZ.
Should i need to reinstall Windows and therefore also a new installation of ATI 2014, will that secure zone created on my previous installation still work? Or does a given
If the ASZ is just a drive partition in an Acronis proprietary format (no encryption, etc.), i would assume there would be no issue? I would also assume that i can take the backup drive to another computer with ATI installed and use it there?
Any other significant gotchas when using the ASZ?
