Should I purchase newest version of Acronie True Image 2013 when my 2009 version works?
Been researching what's new and better with the 2013 version of Acronis TI however my Acronis 2009 version suits all my needs supporting all my home pc's. What concerns me the most is I've read each copy can only be installed/activated once and only once. The 2009 version allows me to install on multiple pc's using the lengthy license action string. Both Newegg and all the Acronis forums have many upset and disgruntled users of Acronis. Most alarming concern is not only has the licensing schema changed from the 2009 version but features that once worked are now unbelievably chaotic and broken. I use 2 utilities from Acronis: the clone feature and occasionally restoring a bootable Acronis image saved to a external hard drive thereby saving me the worry of reinstalling not only the o/s but app's thereby saving me precious hours out of my hectic workweek. Can someone other than a employee of Acronis reply back and let me know if my concerns are unfounded? BTW, Acronis 2009 play beautifully with Windows XP, Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit o/s, and Windows 8....anything seriously broken supporting these platforms with the latest version of Acronis 2013 True Image?
Thanks!...

Verson 2009 does not support Windows 7 and definietly not Windows 8.
Be aware that 2014 is in beta testing now but a release date is not known. Often time, we get a new release in the fall or late fall.
Whenever you buy, your best price choice willl be the family pack for use on 3 machines as the program will prevent you from having it installed on any but the licensed machine.

Thanks guys for the prompt reply. What I've been doing was installing the original 2009 version of ATI on one pc but have used two cloned drives to identical hardware motherboard platforms. The "gray" licensing issue I guess occurs when the cloned pc already has a copy of 2009 ATI installed hence there is where licensing issues might be in question. I guess in my unique situation if there is a licensing issue it boils down to....."....it's easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission".
FYI the 2009 ATI works perfectly with both Windows 7 32-bit & 64-bit o/s'. I guess there is no real compelling issue to upgrade since 2009 serves all my immediate needs. Hardware in question is usually 1TB in capacity and now just a 256GB Samsung 840Pro SSD. Take care!
