Yes, no problem!
Have you tried a repair install?
No, I didn't, but have done now: Same failure as in my post.
It sounds as though the SNAPAPI filter is in the wrong place in registry.
May be, but what's really to do then???
Thanks for your reply!

I am having the same problem using Windows 7 Home Premium. It fails to open the Snapshot manager. I have run the repair, removed, reinstalled and no luck. I cannot enter a "source" folder in the back up to location. My two hours have no results.

Apparently there is a new SNAPMAN.sys to go with 2012, the only problem is Acronis haven't at this moment provided a link to it in the KB articles, though in another post they say they are about to.

Hello Colin and Robert,
here are good news: ATIH 2012 Trial is doing now! But don't ask me why.
This is what I did since your last replies: Uninstalled ATIH 2012, reinstalled ATIH 2010, deleted the ASZ, which was created before with 2012, recreated ASZ with 2010, made three partition backups, and uninstalled 2012 without deleting ASZ. Then I reinstalled 2012 in the same place as before, made a succesful backup of two partitions into existing ASZ and all was okey.
That means, the only (worth mentioning??) difference to the failing 2012 installation before was the deletion and recreation of the ASZ with 2010 and not with 2012. But this should have no impact on the former problem, should it....??
By the way: No further installations or unstallations of programms or other stuff were made in the meantime.
So, don't ask me why........! I'll go on testing ATIH 2012
Thanks for trying to help me.
