Snipping Tool no longer accessible after restore

Thread needs solution

On my Toshiba Satellite laptop, using Acronis 11, I Backed Up my Vista Home Premium SP2 disk and Validated the image successfully.

I swapped out the 320GB original disk and replaced it with a 750GB. I then Restored the validated image to the 750GB disk. All seemed well until I tried to use the Snipping Tool. No joy.

I went through the task of enabling the "Turn Windows features on or off" under Control Panel\Programs and Features, making sure the Table functions were enabled. No luck here either.

Any clue as to why a successfully validated and recovered archive might not be entirely robust?

Version 11 of several years ago may not have this option but you can check. This may be a possible solution.Boot from the Rescue CD and simulate doing another restore. Select MBR as the only option to be restored and then on the next page where you select the 750 gb target, look at the bottom of the screen and see if you have a "Recover Disk signature" option. Checkmark this option if it exists and proceed with the restore. If Disk signature option does not exist, then click on the Cancel the procedure.

No, I don't seem to have the "Recover Disk Signature" option. I'm wondering "if the snipping tool is not available, what else might be missing?".

Any other ideas?
