Something positive to say

Thread needs solution

Despite all the problems people have with True Image, I am glad to report that TI saved my butt today.
Yesterday, in checking Windows event viewers I noted that my hard drive was about to die and that it should be backed up and replaced IMMEDIATELY. I did so; TI put my system back onto the new drive. I'm happy!

I'll admit that I have had issues with restoration when a backup that had been verified as being ok is corrupt when a restoration was attempted. For that reason I keep multiple images on a pair of USB drives. Also, for me Try & Decide just does not work. Using Try & Decide crashed my system. After using it once, Windows would no longer boot.

Note that I am using v11. I tried 2009 and found the interface confusing, so reverted back to 11. After reviewing complaints about 2010, I'm not about to try it, even though I had hopes of upgrading to Win 7 and knowing that TI11 is not compatible. So, for now I am sticking with Win XP and TI11 for security.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your warm comments - we do appreciate it and are glad that our software helped you with saving the data.

It is upsetting to hear, though, that you still have issues with the product, and I would like to help you with it.

I would appreciate if you could just give me some additional details concerning the Try and Decide mode issues:

  • Could you please kindly provide me with the exact sequence of actions (including the actions done while in Try Mode)?
  • Please kindly gather the Windows System Information and reply to me with the results, I will analyze the information and provide you with the solution.

I would also suggest you anyway to test the Acronis True Image Home 2010, the demo version is available here at the Download section: you will anyway some day have to upgrade to Windows 7, and you may like the product. And you can always delete it from your machine and return back to the Acronis True Image Home 11 version. Should something confuse you or you need the guidance - just let us know, we will definitely help you with all the questions and concerns.

I must say we do highly appreciate your trust in our product and grateful for you being with us for such a long time.

Thank you!

Robert,
You should give 2010 a trial. I like it much better than 2009 and I am a past user of 8, 9,10, 11, 2009.

Just use the basic functions and it works just fine. Add Chain2Gen (below) to assist in managing your backups archives and you have a win win situation or at least it has been for me.
