"Specify the location of the Volume 1"

Thread needs solution

I have a non-system partition created with 2012. When I go to restore that partition, I can only get so far before I get a dialog box with the message shown above in the title above.

No matter what I try to put in, I still get the same message back. What is 2012 looking for ???.

HELP!

You created it with what? You're doing a single partitin recovery or a disk recovry?

This message indicates ATI is looking for the first TIB file in a chain of backup. Choosing browse and locating that first file should satisfy ATI. I have this message everytime when I use the recovery CD, maybe because the drive letters are changing...

I too get this popup and a browse for .tib window appears, it defaults to my, would be, My Backups in My Documents...
i had previously installed the WD Edition, used it to create a Disk+Partition Backup of 2 Drives, one was the OS drive the other was my Gamez/Backups Drive(2 Partitions). the intent was to merge the 3 temporarily to 1x 1TB HDD.
i got the 2Disk/3Partion cloned/relocated, successfully, and backed up. shortly after, my rig went on the fritz.
was gonna eventually have 3x 1TB HDD in RAID5, and the 4th 1TB HDD as a dedicated backup drive. One of the 1TB drives in the RAID failed (RAID5 goes critical in Raidxpert, RAID5 member offline/missing...ASRock Deluxe4 MoBo with 890FX Chipset). Now i can see the location of the My Partitions.tib on the drive, and can, after a while, open it and see the 3 drives, and can open the drives, after time, and see the drive contents, all intact. I even selected all the folders from the Gamez drive and Drag&Drop them to my Gamez folder on the 1TB drive, and it started, albeit slllooowwwwlllyyyy, to decompress and copy to the new drive... But, i still get errors in the Program about the location of Volume 1. at some point, during the Drives-down Headache i remember seeing one of the drives with a 1 in Diskpart and not c, d, or r. C: was OS, D: was Gamez, R: was Backups/Recovery Data. diskpart was used, fyi, to see if the drive missing was registered as connected. Weirdly, i can see drives in Diskpart that don't show in Bios...
I have attached 3 screens of Warning/Popups. The first is what i get when trying to Validate the existing Backup, My Partitions.tib.
The other two are what i get on trying to use Recover in ATIH 2012.
