Stay away from this product!

Thread needs solution

After quite some problems with synchronization, True Image Home destroyed the data on my Raid completely.

I recognized already strange behavior with folder sync, when trying to shutdown the PC. Same happened to my now with sync even disabled as service.
After running an incremental backup to my NAS (which ran OK), I was shutting down the PC. This didn't work out and the PC was stuck in the blue shutdown screen saying that there is background activity and the PC will be shutdown when finished.

The problem was, it didn't finish. 24 later it was showing the same screen. With remoted access to the machine (mapped network drive, which was surprisingly still working) showed that scheldhlp.exe (Acronis scheduler) is blocking the PC
I contacted helpdesk because I didn't want to physically switch off my Raid 5 systems.
The agent, obviously no clue what they where talking about, ensured me that I can switch of the PC.
The problem was that I followed that recommendation. Data loss, no rebuild possible.

All my support requests over the last week were not answered and Acronis did not even respond to my demand to give me the money back.

Don't know whether older products had better performance, but I can recommend to everyone thinking about buying this product: Don't!
